Argument: We’ll just start with Facebook (or Twitter, or YouTube…) and see what happens. No one reads blogs anyway.
According to a study by HubSpot, companies with blogs have 55% more visitors, 97% more inbound links and 434% more indexed pages than those without, which all mean more visits, more inquiries and more sales!
Argument: It costs too much.
We all know it costs money to stay in business. Recent studies show that companies with the least Social Media activity saw their sales drop by 6%, while those with the highest activity saw a sales INCREASE of 18%!
Argument: I don’t know what the ROI will be.
The ROI of Social Media participation is that your business will still exist in five years. Love it or hate it, what we’re seeing is a complete shift in the way people communicate. With the number of Baby Boomers using Social Media nearly doubling between 2009 and 2010, no one can afford to ignore this opportunity. Right now, ROI isn’t necessarily about new revenue and new sales. It’s more likely to be measured as the market share a company doesn’t lose.
Argument: I don’t have time for Social Media.
We offer two comprehensive plans. One sets you up with everything you need (including training and original content ready to be published) to do it all yourself in about 20 minutes a day. The other plan requires about 5 minutes of your time each week. Some start out with the fully managed plan with the goal to switch to the self-managed plan after a few months.

“Alisa, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your hard work in getting us into this whole “social networking thing.” As a seriously technologically impaired individual, I have been amazed at your expertise and patience in working with us. Our internet presence is exploding and we are getting vital information to our clients, their families and everyone facing the challenges of caring for an aging loved one. Most of all, you provide very technical services in a very understanding and personal way. Thank you very much for all you do.”
